How my Mother’s Day present inspired our fundraiser

For Mother’s Day, my youngest son, Ollie, gave me a jar of sugar scrub that he and his classmates made themselves in class. I thought it was sweet, and he urged me to try it out right away. While putting it to use on my hands which were in a horribly dry state from all the hand-washing, I was thrilled to see how well it worked and how smooth my hands felt.

And then a light bulb switched on in my head, and I thought how a simple product which brought such relief to my hands might also bring financial relief to students doing it tough.

I talked it over with Ollie and my older son Elliot, and they both jumped on the idea of being able to help some of the students that we had discussed over the dinner table each night.
